Liquid calcium chloride (35%) is principally used as a dust agent on gravel roads. When applied on a freshly leveled road, its hygroscopic¹ properties allows the capture of moisture in the air and helps retain dust which greatly reduces the loss of aggregates and increases safety.

During the winter season, calcium chloride in 28-31% solution as a pre-treatment agent for de-icing road salt is used.

Liquid calcium chloride is also used in water treatment, de-inking, as liquid impact energy attenuator and for other industrial processes.
