Somavrac Inc. possesses infrastructure for transloading solids or liquids in bulk, to be received and stored thanks to its intermodal link and storage space accommodating reception and storage of 85 railcars. Our flexible facilities enable the transfer of goods from railcar to truck, from truck to silo or from railcar to warehouse thanks to our value-added services such as inventory and railcar management, our state-of-the-art expertise in the handling of hazardous materials and our JIT (just in time) delivery process. Somavrac Inc. assures you of the accomplishment of each step for efficient and reliable transshipment.

Our facilities

Somavrac Inc. has access to over 10,000 feet (3,050 meters) of service sidings, four under-track offloading sites for hopper cars and different loading and unloading facilities. Our railcar storage space allows for the reception of hopper cars and pressurized railcars. Somavrac Inc. provides tanks for the transshipment of all kinds of products to railcars. Also, certain tanks are equipped with agitators and can be heated.

Handling / Transformation

Somavrac Inc. is an absolute industrial subcontractor who ensures the JIT (just-in-time) preparation of various products and solid and liquid compounds. We possess several production units specialized in :

• Production, mixing of specialized solutions as per rigorous specifications and specific recipes;
• Bagging with high-level flexibility (from 15 kilos to 1,350 kilos);
• Dissolve or put into solution;
• Railcar transshipment, dry or liquid.

According to the transformed product, our plants allow for heating, cooling, mixing, bagging and filtration operations.
